will try freebsd if I can get a vm to work
Replies: >>421

freebsd is better as a host than a VM, as it does everything that linux does (wine, virtualbox, vlc, etc etc), but without any of the headache (systemd, pulseaudio, drm and rust in the kernel, etc etc), alot of "people" won't call freebsd minimalist, but it does (more than) what linux does, with lines of code, which makes it the definition of minimalism for me (but I don't really need what linux does right now so I am using netbsd)

Interesting. I was learning freebsd as a warmupp to openbsd but apparently I should go straight to openbsd? Can't find a way to make openbsd 7.3 work.
