>the grips of ideology grasp at everyone, it does not matter rather you think you're above it. you are no more enlightened than the rest of us for your pseudo-Machiavellian approach to understanding society. every man must have a lense to interoperate the world, and that lense, even if flawed, is better than no lense at all, otherwise no action would happen ever.

>Even if you do not believe in an abstract theory of morality, there are certainly observable preferences among the population. People wish not to starve, they wish not to be alone, they wish to not suffer injustice, nor do they wish to have their autonomy denied. Mankind is made up of living beings, beings that strive for longevity through time, either in base survival, or by passing down their genetics to their next of kin.

>Granted this fact, it is clear that even in a world of raw, nihilistic power-based Darwinism, we will devise systems for understanding the world, and applying this knowledge in the context of power and resource distribution, or more concisely: we will make politics. Ideology is merely the schools of thoughts about what this politics should be, and what and how to optimize for the most desirable result.

>All peoples through time believed in something, they have narrative in their life that allows them to interoperate the world, and narrative comes with it value judgements. A man who understands that something causes pain or misery will want to minimize it and a man who understands that something causes contentment and happiness will want to pursue it. To maximize the availability of these resources in a stable fashion is the goal of every political theorist, but many use different methodologies to assess our world.

>Pragmatism needs a maxim to achieve, and to measure it by. Money needs a rule-set for it to even be of value. Government and corporations need some kind of incentive to exist. The raw might of tyranny and decadence will be crushed by the merciful and good people, for the promise of good life is alluring and stronger than any tyrant's fist. If this was not true, then no revolution would happen ever, as the oppressive tyrannies of time would never have reason to fall. The myth of the egocentric, infinite tyranny of political might forgets humanity's existence as a social creature who attempts to secure longevity and ease of life through time. Right isn't made by might, for if it was, then mere power alone could feed all villages, quell all revolutions, and start all families. Instead, right exists in abstract to might, and might is only justified in that it serves the right.

>We need ideology to craft ourselves a narrative that brings about a desire for power. Leadership that only exists for its own profiteering will be crushed by those most exploited by it or by the weight of their own immorality. To have standards for quality and moral leadership is in itself a strength, as without it, the righteous will be forced to come mighty again to protect their own self-interests, the self-interests of persevering through time in a Darwinistic fashion.
